"WHERE ACTION MEETS EXCELLENCE"

Pinal Rural Fire & Rescue is a 501 (c)(3) non-profit all-hazard Fire/Rescue/EMS department that is 100% volunteer. We are located in southeastern Pinal County, Arizona, on scenic Hwy 77, which winds through the Sonoran Desert . Approximately 100 square miles of previously unprotected rural area are now receiving quality fire and rescue services. Since its inception in October of 2011, Pinal Rural Fire Rescue has grown by leaps and bounds at the direction of Chief Bud Paine, who is a Nationally Registered Paramedic, Toxicology Medic, Fire & Arson Investigator, & HazMat Specialist. PRF&R covers basic costs of operation with subscription fees from homeowners in their 911 Service Area. People in the community have been very generous with many donations of diesel, water,  mechanical services, money, buildings, labor, gravel, and support. Other fire departments in Arizona have helped us by donating used equipment, and firefighting gear. Grants are being applied for and many programs are being implemented to educate and serve the community as we safeguard lives and property.

"I have no ambition in  this world but one, and that is to be a fireman. The position may, in the eyes of some, appear to be a lowly one; but we who know the work which the fireman has to do believe that his is a noble calling. Our proudest moment is to save lives. Under the impulse of such thoughts, the nobility of the occupation thrills us and stimulates us to deeds of daring, even of supreme sacrifice."  Chief Edward F. Croker, FDNY circa 1910

Medic 625 is a 4X4 Type 1 transport unit that is fully stocked and ready to serve whoever may need us. PRF&R provides both Basic Life Support (EMT) and Advanced Life Support (Paramedic) Emergency Medical Services. We are currently working on obtaining a CON (Certificate of Necessity) which means we will be able to transport. At the current time, we can quickly respond and provide life saving ALS and BLS care.
